Information for Immigration Medical Examinations for New Zealand

This is the information you need for your medical examination if you are applying for a visa for New Zealand through Immigration New Zealand (INZ).

Original passport - this is the only accepted form of ID
Medical request from Immigration New Zealand (if available)

COVID vaccination certificate (printed)
Medical history: medication list, recent blood tests, x-rays, hospital notes, discharge summaries, doctors’ letters or prescriptions
Prescription glasses/contact lenses (avoid coloured contact lenses)

No fasting required. Eat & drink normally and take all medications as prescribed by your doctor.
Applicants under 16 years of age are required to present with a family member or guardian.
Applicants will be provided an Information Sheet on the day of their appointment which they are required to submit with their visa application.
All completed medicals are submitted directly to Immigration New Zealand via the eMedical system.
